Kulerd- was founded in February 2021 by, creative director- Jessica van Schalkwyk.

The word- "Kulerd" is a play on the words "Coloured and Culture". It is a transeasonal street wear brand inspired by the Cape Coloured community in Cape Town, South Africa. The brand draws its inspiration from the streets life and the lifestyle of the coloured community. Kulerd was created in order to give a voice to the people and to appreciate the culture that the community carries.

For now, Kulerd is a menswear brand but in the near future hopes to expand to unisex, accessories and shoes. As the brand develops so will the staff. Creating more jobs for the community

 

Kulerd envisions hope for the future through- prints, colour and silhouettes.
